This is what I spent my Saturday morning doing (and getting ready for). I think the pictures turned out so well, LORI! I love them. I knew you could make us look great! It was fun to see you in action with all of your new equipment too! We ended up going to the JW Marriott to take our pictures. The pool was to our left in this picture. I was so happy to go back there because I remembered that I used to sneak in to the pool when I first moved here... so I think I may have to go visit again. We all decided we wanted to pitch in and get a hotel room for the weekend so we can play by the pool, go to the spa or go shopping... just a girl bonding weekend. Hopefully we can make that happen in July sometime, when it's nice and hot. I am so excited for this new presidency (and miss the old one at the same time). These young girls bring such energy to our group and they are teaching me a lot about serving. We laugh... a lot... which is always such a blessing.
Britney (top right) is my 3rd counselor since our ward gets so big in the summer. I call her my personal assistant since I give her completely random assignments that need to be done but really can't be found in any church handbook :o) She's such a good sport. She loves the group MAE and just graduated from BYU. She is so much fun to be around.
Sara (to my left) is my 1st counselor. She's officially an NV attorney now! She has a huge heart and loves working at the temple. She used to be my secretary so I am really used to turning clerical things over to her. I am having a hard time breaking my habit! She is such a support to me and I feel it an honor to serve with her.
Lisa (to my right) is the comic relief of our presidency. She ALWAYS keeps us rolling. This past Sunday I ended up being the brunt of the joke regarding my "circle the chairs" poster I made a while back with three semi-circle lines drawn (as if they didn't know how to arrange the chairs). I had Brakell display it Vanna-style, and all the RS sisters followed-suit. I guess Lisa wasn't there the week of the poster debut, but she sure had some things to say about it. We laughed so hard we cried. She also likes to go by Lakisha... in reference to her favorite Halloween costume.
Brakell (top left) is a bundle of energy and fun! She lights up any room that she enters. She is always behind any fun activity that is randomly going on and she's so inclusive and considerate of everyone. She's a great friend and a great secretary! We are lucky to have her serving with us.
I miss Karli and Lori greatly and I am so blessed to have had 1 amazing year full of hard work, love and dedication with these sisters. We were unified in efforts and desires and my life is so much richer because of you and all I have learned from you.
I LOVE THESE GIRLS!
