Introducing: Ms. Sena

There is something so special about a newborn. It seems as if you can almost see heaven when you look into their innocent eyes. Not long before their birth they were viewing heavenly things with those same eyes. Beautiful Ms. Sena (who has made me an aunt 10 times over) was scheduled and delivered via c-section on Friday. Isn't she beautiful? (Her name is a family name that originated in Sweden). I spent all day Friday thinking... "our family is so lucky that we get to have another spirit to be a part of our unit"... and lucky I continue to feel. I LOVED holding this new little one in my arms on Saturday. She has the most wonderful parents and she has to be one of the luckiest girls in the world. I'm so happy she's here. I can't wait to love her my whole life long.
On another auntie note, we watched homemade videos this past weekend which showed my oldest nephew and niece (now 17 and 14) when they were only 5 and 3. Oh, how time flies! I remember when they were both born and now they are thriving sassy hilarious teenagers. It was a good reminder to me that we must take every opportunity to scoop up the little ones in our lives and love the heck out of them because before you can blink they will be "too cool for school" brace-faced teens!!!! But, in whatever form, I LOVE being an auntie. I'm so grateful to have another little bundle to love.
