... as Shawn Johnson refers to herself, WON GOLD last night! Finally. I can't believe that I stayed up watching this last night, but I just really, really wanted her to win a gold. She's such a talented little tater tot. I was watching the Olympics with Sparkplug last night and I said to her "can you imagine all of the movies, dates, chat time, video games, pizza parties, dances, social moments, swimming, vacationing, blogging, and just plain fun times that she's given up in order to be standing on that podium?" Amazing. And she's only 16. But... my niece DID inform me that she went to Homecoming, so life can't be all that bad ;o) Yahoo Shawn! And don't EVEN get me started on how proud I am of Phelps. I know we ALL are... so I won't bore you with the giant tribute I have construed in my mind.
