One of my biggest dreams came true this weekend which was to watch fireworks for the 4th out over the ocean! It was so awesome to be laying on the warm sand right next to crashing waves while the fireworks exploded overhead. After the fireworks show on main street in Huntington Beach, Kar and I strapped on our roller blades and roller bladed the 5 miles back to the car via the PCH which was shut down for the show. We had to pinch ourselves as we wondered when in the world we'd ever be able to do that again!
Other monumental moments made last weekend include: * many many guys hitting on us as we rode the double bike with the umbrella top... one cute guy even said "well that is just too cute of a sight..." * sunset rollerblading * Beach Berries eaten multiple times * boogie boarding our hearts out and even catching many stellar waves (surfing is just around the corner) * breakfast at Sugar Shack * bbq'd corn on the cob (notice how my stomach always becomes my tour guide) * all weekend in flip flops * the sweet lady ending her testimony in church with a special prayer of upliftment for David Archuletta on tour (yes, yes she did) * chub rub * beach bike window shopping * creepy stranger man who works in finance wanting our digits * the greatest Nordstrom Rack ever * lots to talk about with a good friend * sweet jams in the car * comfy beds * the calming influence of crashing waves * warm sandy naps * people watching galore * pizza at midnight * finding a yoga on the beach class for next trip (another dream of mine) * powering up the internal battery *
