There were some crazy ducks at this beach! Some Friends and I spent a relaxing (yet VERY lacking in the sleep dept.) weekend in North Carolina again this year for Memorial Weekend. What memories! We got back in last night at 1:00 am, so I hope this post will make any sense at all. I was on Jury Duty all last week and didn't think I'd be done in time to make it to this East Coast party of 800 people, so I was SUPER excited when I made it all happen at the last minute. As for this past weekend, here are some things I now know for sure: *If you put 45 people in an 20 person capacity home, there's a good chance I will have to sleep in a communal living space (shared with other girls as well as cute boys, so I didn't mind) * Tanning in the highest powered tanning bed for the full time when I am pasty white WILL burn me to a crisp and make it really uncomfortable for me to ride on an airplane, sleep on the floor, wear jeans and clothing in general, or enter the hot tub * Beach cruisers ARE one of my most favorite things * Having funny friends who make me laugh non-stop is a very beautiful thing * boys that will sing girl's camp songs with girls are gems to be treasured forever * silk pajamas are NEVER to be underestimated * country boys still have the ability to make me blush from their sincere charm * laptops are to be banned at any extended social gatherings (so many people were plugged-in that we started calling the house "Internet Cafe") * it is possible to spend a few days with strangers and leave feeling like you've known them forever * late night "pillow talk" sessions rock * i finally have conquered HUMID HAIR SYNDROME!!! * I need to be less "aloof" * wedge-shaped shoes continue to rock my summer world * boys that glow with the spirit are so stinkin' attractive * It isn't what you buy, but who you are that really matters (as I didn't do any shopping for the trip and felt a bit bad for a minute for a lacking wardrobe) * nothing beats sitting around with friends while discussing things of a spiritual nature * sunsets are super dreamy * the organization/efficiency of our house made a great experience turn into an unforgettable one (thanks to Tirza) * I'm so grateful for my girlfriends and the opportunity we have to make lasting memories together * I am so very blessed.
