Once upon a time I bought a box of girl scout cookies... and ate the entire box on my way home from work... and on my way
to spin class. I suited up (and actually remembered to pack my shoes, including a left and a right shoe - yes, I once packed two left shoes and I
still went to spin class anyway) and hit the class. (BTW...This class has is the
highest intensity workout I do each week with the
highest intensity spin teacher I could find.)
Minutes into my spin class I felt
gurgling both in my tummy and in my throat. I spent the remainder of the hour too stubborn to get off the bike while realizing how stupid I was to gorge on those super good cookies! I learned a good lesson: some things I am not strong enough to take on alone :o) The back of the box tells me that I downed 1120 calories on one trip home. Sick. Luckily it completely curbed my appetite for sugar! I'm thinking about petitioning for a warning label on these boxes that says something like "warning... can't stop... even after you've gotten enough"!
