I am starting to train for another 1/2 marathon. It feels good to hit the open road again. My good friend who has done many 1/2 Ironman Competitions advised me to spin, spin, spin if I want to run fast, fast, fast. Man was he telling the truth. I spin at least once a week (if not twice). Spin/cycling is wonderful for building endurance. Last night I ran 5 miles without a problem and I haven't run in months. I've been spinning, kickboxing, and weight lifting. I found a spin teacher that pushes me beyond all my known physical abilities and into the "burn" accompanied with the "pounding heart beat". The music is fun and each song maps out a different course depending on the timing of the song. The only downfall would be the amount of sweat that pours from your body. Overall, it's so very worth it as I feel a dress size slip each time I push myself in a spin class. Please try your hand at spinning, people. It's life changing. THE NELSONS
