Our office participated in a charity run last Saturday and it was so much fun! We had team shirts made and everything. Most people walked, but a few of us ran. I had to get up really early in order to make it to the event, but it was well worth it! It was so much fun to see my office friends early in the morning. It was a perfect fall morning and it was a very refreshing experience. Talk about feeling a sense of community!
It was SO much fun to run with my super fast almost-70-year-old and still cute as a button dad. I have to admit that although I workout regularly, I haven't been running lately and I totally held Mr. Lightening back... but it was nice to have someone faster than me setting the pace and pulling me forward. He didn't seem to mind that I was a bit slower.
I love this picture for a few reasons: 1) I was about to cross the finish line and my face is screaming "effortless!" 2) My dad and I BOTH look like we have an orange extra set of legs 3) the green sign above my head 4) the guy seeminlgy checking me out while I'm running!
