Busy As A Bee

I'm sorry it's been a bit since I've posted. I swear I'm still alive. The past week has been buzzing with activity. I will just share some highlights:
1) Attended the UNLV game and almost got in a fight with a drunk guy that was picking on little pre-missionary boys and their girlfriends. I was as neutral as Switzerland until they starting making fun of the girls "tight morals" (exact language modified to adhere with my PG-rated blog) and then I was "ready to rumble!!!" The guys really did get into a fist fight in front of me and I really did some screaming at the top of my lungs and my brother really did tell me I was on my own since he couldn't afford to get into any legal messes and I really did tell him that I didn't need his help. Never pick on underdogs when you are around me. I guess all those years of having a bully of my own paid off with regards to me not being one bit tolerant or silent about the unfair treatment of others with intolerance as the motive :o) I didn't know I had such an ability to fight if necessary.
2) Cooked: Zucchini Bread, Pumpkin muffins, Cinnamon Rolls (from scratch, which take FOREVER but are to die for), and extensive dinners a few times
3) Attended a Gladys Knight show with someone not of my faith (yes, Gladys is Mormon) and had the most interesting time as I viewed the whole event through a different set of eyes
4) Re-watched conference since it's Tivo'd. Love that handy Tivo.
5) Striving to regain my Aunt of the Century status that I held previous to my heavy church participation.
6) Move over Martha... I've been whipping out some super cute craft projects that would make her lose sleep at night. I've been meaning to take pictures before they float out my door, but I haven't been too good at it.
7) Started running again in order to train (word used loosely) for our Office Fun Run in two weeks. If anyone saw THE OFFICE onTV a few weeks ago, I have a feeling it will be something comparable to that (if you didn't see it, you really should because it's totally funny). I realized that if I haven't run (but do other workouts 4 x's a week) that I probably shouldn't bust out of the gates with a 5 mile run. My left knee sent that message loud and clear to the rest of my body the next day.
8) Started planning the big 3...0... birthday TRIP... with girlfriends... to somewhere tropical. Details to follow later :o)
9) Still trying to figure out how to fill up all my extra time in my life now... and trying to love it. Slowly... baby steps.
10) Trying not to fall to hard in love with Brad, The Bachelor. He's so dreamy and I know he loves the Arizona Suns dancer Jenny and I can't wait for him to propose, although I might shed a tear of sadness when he does.
Those are some of the things I've been up to lately. I'm just excited for the holidays and for some fun upcoming events. And... I am LOVING my time spent in the kitchen. Love it. Can't get enough. Hope you've had a great week or two also. Talk to you soon :o) Oh, and the nerd in me is excited for this movie to come out this week.
