Today I feel the need to give a shout out to my very fun roomie. She very often brings a smile to my face and laughter to my belly. Isn't that how life should be? We had quite the weekend as we tried to battle the dirty oven that was full of grease from a cheesecake I made for a friend's birthday. Every time we tried to turn it on to self-clean, flames would erupt. After our sixth try, we finally got it to work. You can imagine how smokey our house was, but now it's all better. She opened the oven this morning and said, "this thing is so freaking clean you could eat out of it". I laughed. Thank heavens we finally fixed the problem. My eyes didn't know how much more burnt grease they could absorb.
She's so witty...I've heard her story about our double date in Scotland like a million times, but I laugh harder each time. Yesterday she even threw in that her date drove the "Chester-the-Molester" van. That was the first time I'd heard that description. I laughed so hard that the choir director turned around from conducting the choir and asked us to be quite. Oops :o)
Other things that make her unique: She is very smart with her money, she is very service-oriented, she doesn't hold a grudge, she loves serving in the church, she loves ghetto things like "Making the Band 4", she LOVES Halloween, she's always good for a laugh, and she loves double cones from England (they changed her life). What good times she is, and... a serious undiscovered catch!
