Friday Face

This is my bosom friend, Kristyn. We met over 10 years ago when I worked at a company in Utah while going to college (she was around when I had my first kiss!). We quickly became friends as we found ourselves traveling together for work. She's a working professional, she's a wonderful mom, and she's a total small-town sweetheart. Even though we are totally separated by milestones in our lives and by MILES, we still dream of being next door neighbors and crafting and sewing together all day.
A favorite memory of ours would be a work trip to Seattle that we took. Since we working around high powered women, we decided to buy HUGE fake wedding rings to wear in order to fit in. One woman grabbed my hand, looked at my ring, and said to me "Honey, hold on to that man... he takes REALLY good care of you and that's hard to find anymore". (Funny thing was that she was a marriage therapist and a big ring was her idea of "being taken care of"). We laughed and laughed over that conversation I had with that nice lady.
A not so nice memory we share would be the hotel break-in story that I have told many of you about (if you don't know it, ask me... it's a doosey). I am so grateful that I experienced a really scary thing with someone so close to me.
For me, being around Kris is like coming home. She reminds me of everything good I want to fill my life with. She has a large family that is so close and connected and that if you meet once, you are a part of. Her parents I love almost as much as my own. She is a strong woman who is very driven and successful and I am so blessed to call her my friend. Thanks for being a part of my life, Kris. I hope you don't mind that I used you for my Friday Face :o) I just wish everyone in the world could know you because I truly think you are that great.
(BTW... every time I hear Lenny Kravitz, I still think of you)
