Friday Face

That's her, Yvonne...under the rubber band war helmet...equipped with peep holes and all. You can imagine how many laughs this character brings me on a daily basis. She makes working a whiz! We seem to laugh our day away together. We had two BIG laughs this morning, which made me want to write this Ode to Yvonne-Isms. I LOVE it when I have some fun news to tell her and I email her and then wait... and wait... until I hear the gasp, or the giggle, or the desk pounding that accompanies the sheer bliss. And then I flip around to make eye contact so I can share in the reaction with her. She has three sisters and they are all SO funny!
One of our laughs this morning came from the fact that she has eaten about 3 lbs. of blueberries in the past 24 hours... and it is changing the color of certain things... if you know what I mean. My response to the 3 lbs. of blueberries was "so that's why your teeth are purple". She responded by telling me that wasn't the only thing turning purple :o) Ha ha!
She's a great sharer, she LOVES fingernail polish (I took this pic for her yesterday when I was at ULTA, since they had just gotten done restocking the shelves. I knew it would be a dream sight for her. She just uploaded the picture as her desktop FULLSCREEN picture and sent me an email that said "Do you think that you can get me a clearer picture??? I can't make out the color on the fourth shelf 11 polishes to the right. Darn you.")
...she is a great listener, she's one of the best "one-liner" comedians I've ever met, she's drop dead gorgeous, she has two cute boxer dogs that she loves, she's been with her husband since she was 17, she's sweeter than a cupcake, she owns more face cream than all of Vegas put together, she paints her toes when she drives, and she's a complete HOOT. She's my co-worker, but she's also become a dear, dear friend. I wish I could remember what I said a week ago that made her spew water all over her desk... don't you love having friends like that?
So, without further ado, I present my first Friday Face - dear Yvonne. Look forward to meeting more people as the weeks roll by.
