OVERBOARD.

My friend received this lovely cake from her husband. For those of you who have sharply trained eyes you will recognize the TIFFANY blue color, which matched her REAL Tiffany's box with some bling in it. And people wonder why I currently have a hard time waking up on VDay.
I do have to say that I learned a good lesson yesterday. In a conversation I mentioned how "significantless" my life was and how it made me a bit sad and a co-worker said "well did you do anything to serve anyone today?" I was so sad to report that I hadn't intended to. Luckily, I turned my frown upside down by doing a few things to make others smile. I am hoping next year I will look at this day as an opportunity to serve others instead of "Singles Awareness Day". It can still be a "cup half-full day" if I choose to make it so. In my defense I have, in previous years, made enough sugar cookies (the super good kind) to feed the world. My life is a little too crazy to do that this year, but I deeply missed that activity. I will make sure to revive the cookie event next year, which I also plan on topping with the cutest treat tags that I downloaded for future use (as seen to the right. You can add a photo to the treat tag... how cute is that! Love it).
I did score some flowers from a few people as well as the movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's". I also received a card from a friend that said "Good Friends are Family by Choice". It was sitting below my mouse when I got to work and I have to say that it turned my whole day around. Sometimes it's the little things that mean the most in life.
